About Sørnesset
Sørnesset is an old mountain farm by Atnasjøen, in a well-known location because of the famous painting "Vinternatt i Rondane" (Winter night by the Rondane mountains) of by the norwegian painter Harald Solberg.
The farm is now property of the Norwegian Academy of Science and it is used for small seminars and recreation. It consists of small timber cabins (hytter) and can host up to 20 persons. What was once the barn (fjøset) is now a seminar room. The guests are required to arrange for their own food or, alternatively, they can use Atnasjøen's Cafe, which is about 5 km from the farm.
